“Where learning is fun!”
Escrick Pre-School Playgroup - Meet the Team!
Pre-school Manager - Sally Clarke I joined this idylic little Pre-school in January 2019. I moved from West Yorkshire to York in 2018 with my husband and 2 gorgeous young daughters. Before we moved to York, I was a Primary School Teacher for 9 years and I later became a childminder when my youngest daughter was just 3. I enjoyed every minute as a childminder and I was very sad when we left our home to start our new lives here in York. We absolutely adore living in York and I feel extremely lucky to be part of such a wonderful Pre-school. I work with some truly incredible ladies who work extremely hard and are as passionate and dedicated about their roles as I am. We all aim to deliver the highest standard of care and I feel we do this through our strong  grounded relationships. Not only the relationships we have with the children but with our very supportive parents and fabulous committee too. We have lots of fun at Pre-school and enjoy making happy memories! I am also the setting’s SENCO where I work closely with all the staff members. I have a lovely daughter called Molly, she is an absolute ray of sunshine. I enjoy being creative and tidy! In any spare time I have, I like to spend it with friends and family, explore new places, see live music, read, go to the cinema and generally have fun. I feel lucky to have seen our small village Pre-school grow and become the success it is today. I hope that the new and existing children (and parents) continue to enjoy the friendly, welcoming, caring and fun environment that we strive to achieve at all times. Escrick Pre- school is a lovely and friendly place. I really enjoy working with the team and especially the children. I have been married for 25 years and have 2 teenage children. We have recently moved from Riccall to the country and seaside near Hornsea. However, I love my job so much that I wanted to persue my career at Pre- school so I commute 3 days per week. I also have a dog called Gizmo who can be a cheeky boy and is very much a part of our family. Qualifications - Paedatric First Aid (2018) Further Training - Safeguarding. FGM. Prevent training. I have worked in childcare ffor more than 10years now and I love it. Getting to know each individual child and helping them to learn and develop is an absolute pleasure. And having worked for a number of years in a much larger Pre-school, I am so happy and proud to be part of a team at Escrick, which is smaller and a very nurturing setting. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, especially taking my children on days out. I love swimming, being creative and spending time with friends. Qualifications - NVQ level 3, Safeguarding Further Training - Safeguarding, FGM, Prevent training, food hygiene and safety. I like the small community feel it has and it is a pleasure working with such a genuine team who all love their jobs. I adore working with children and I have worked in childcare for 11 years now.
